Night Owl Taxidermy is owned and created by Selika De Los Santos. She obtained an Associate’s Degree of Art at Palo Alto Community College as well as a Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Arts at the University of Texas at San Antonio with a concentration in drawing and ceramics. During her time at university she was inspired by animals and would often use them as a continuing motif in her work. It was because of her subject matter that Selika discovered the world of taxidermy. She realized that in this profession she could continue to explore her fascination with animals and apply her knowledge from university to revive them and turn them into works of art. Shortly after graduating from UTSA she completed a taxidermy program and has been continuously practicing the art of taxidermy ever since.
